All Mannfall releases now available for DL

T
hat's right you hunching long-haired weirdos, you can now officially download all the Mannfall material that has ever been released via the net. Plus, it's all free! I don't really ever intend to charge for music.

Firstly, because it's not just that i like to create music, its that i HAVE TOO, regardless of income. I'd string together some fucking twigs and fishing line if i had too and play the bongos on my forskin before I ever gave up the grvbby goodness. Another reason is that music is art and art is not an industry, nor should it have anything to with business or marketing or any of that rubbish that so taints it's fleshy pink interior. Money is a great corrupter of many things and i intend to keep it away from my music as much as possible.

This of course excludes distribution and dubbing releases onto tape/vinyl/CDs ect because that obviously costs. I do plan to eventually get into that side of things, but i would probably do it myself personally, much in the same way Lord Revenant does. And i wouldn't charge for a very hefty profit either.

So thats some Mannfall news! Now go do Satan's bidding you swines!

Mannfall - Demo One - 2008

M
annfall's first official demo. It feels like such a long time ago. My process for writing music has evolved quite a lot since these days, whether it was for the better, i can't say. I would like to think so...

These four tracks were actually a specific selection from a much great number also written in 2008 - and possibly even 2007. I may one day re-release this demo along with the other material from this era, but i will first have to completely re-master and re produce it, so's to improve the sound.

Some interesting things to note about this debut is that it contains one of the only songs in the Mannfall repertoire with real keyboards. I actually recorded using a real keyboard in Binding Fenrir and I'm fairly sure that i haven't done it since because Any other synth effects I've ever used since then have been programmed. Another interesting thing to note is that the image for the cover art was made from a photograph i took my self, of an old church somewhere in Australia. I won't say which one - maybe you can guess?

So here it is, the first demo, with the second Mannfall logo (actually). That's right, there is another. I can't remember if it was ever used, or shown to anyone. This one was a bit over done i think. too many elements...too many, but i was really into nature at the time, so i wanted that to come out in the logo. Anyway, drink.

Moonfork - When we had the Bends - 2011

O
kay, so i was in a strange state of mind one night and i just felt like playing some dirty-ass Vermyapre Kommando type Grvb Metal. The are no actual lyrics to this track, besides "When we had the bends", which is only really said a few times randomly through-out the song.

"What in shitting-dicks does that mean?", you ask? Well, I'll attempt to explain...

If you wanted to go deep into the matter than you might say that; when we had bends is a metaphore. No one actually had the bends. Instead when we had the bends relates to a quazi-symbolic architype that counter-progresses the usual focus of thought. This enables the receiver to fully compress their mind to a point in which negative 0.86 neurosis is achieved, leading to the inevitable collapse of all meaning and purpose in the normal conceptual facilities of the mind.

Basically, the phrase is derived from a misheard lyric (on my part) by the band Vlad Tepes, during the song "In Holocaust to the Natural Darkness" from the March to the Black Holocaust split with Belketre. I actually cant even remember the correct lyrics from the track, because I've always thought of it as "When we had the Bends". I do know however, that it's followed by "We retuurrnn to darrrkkkkk" and then something on guitar. The point of it is that Lord Revenant of Daghkagg/Fel/Wiht ("Dad! Carg fell in some wheat!") and I thought it was really fucking funny, and after a few long (most likely drug induced) conversations we came up with "Grvb Metal" which would eventually make its confusing debut on the OSN distro as Pvtǽnfediăvl.

So thats basically what this track is all about. Moonfork is not an offical project of mine, it is just a spin off of Pvtǽnfediăvl. I just didn't call it that because LR didn't have anything to do with its creation this time. Anyway, it's a pretty amusing piece of music (or rather anti-music) and i just have to share it with you all because i take much delight in imagining the reactions/facial expressions of people when they first hear it.

Mannfall - Glory to the Pillers [ep] - 2011

T
his is a short EP containing 4 tracks that didn't quite fit in with the Comp i released recently.

Basically, these tracks were too good i think. They have a descent amount of thought put into their composure and they all actually have a recurring theme within the lyrics which links them together too.

I recorded these tracks in 2010, but ive only just recently started working on them again this year when i was sifting through material for the comp. All four of the tracks have been remixed and produced but not remastered, since i was relatively happy with the recordings the first time.

The feeling of this release is basically one of nostalgia for a past long gone and seldom remembered, but for a few who still write good ancient norse/pagan themed black metal. Its very Bathory-minded in its sound but probably closer to Celtic Dance in terms of Style and Structure.

Anyway, get ya teeth into it. i hope finds a welcome home in the rest of your OSN/Mannfall collection.

Mannfall - Compilation - 2010

A
compilation i released fairly recently. It contains a broad array of black metal and dark ambient tracks - all with no particular association with each other.

I had been doing a fair amount of recording through-out 2010, but not a lot of releasing as i was still searching/experimenting with different productions and sounds. This therefor prevented me from sitting down and writing one concise release in an album format, so instead, after a long time of leaving the tracks to rot, i decided to release a whole bunch of them as a compilation.

I probably wouldn't regard all the music on this comp as "quality" but then that's all relative anyway isn't it? For all i know this shit could be gold, plus this sort of music isn't really about professionals standards either. So i guess if theres anything you can do with these creations, is to simply take them at face value, chill the fuck out and let the festering darkness within you take hold! (or the retardation, whatever suits you best).
